MIDDLETON (AP) — A former day-care operator from southwestern Idaho was indicted on three charges of lewd conduct with a child.
David Scott Begley, who with his wife operated the Petra Christian Daycare center at their home in Middleton until 2007, is accused of inappropriate activity with three kids aged between 4 and 9 years old.
Teri Begley, David Scott Begley’s wife, told the Idaho Statesman that the charges are false.
The 43-year-old Begley was arrested earlier this week but has since been released from Canyon County jail on a $75,000 bond. His first court appearance is slated for June 24. If convicted, Begley faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
