F. MaRee Beigh Rowan
Jan. 24, 1934 - May 14, 2008



Sumpter, Ore.

 MaRee Passed away peacefully in her home in Sumpter, Ore. She was the daughter of Millard and Florence Beigh of Cambridge, Idaho. She was born and raised in Cambridge. She married the love of her life, “Durwood” Jim Rowan of Ontario, Nov. 10, 1950. They lived in Midvale and then moved to Ontario in 1961 and lived there 40 years. Jim and MaRee ran the Covered Wagon Trading Post in Ontario for 35 years.

She moved to Sumpter in 2001, where her son Jerry took care of her. One of her greatest joys in life was her crocheting. She was always making something for someone. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

MaRee is survived by sons, John and Judy Rowan, of Redmond, Ore.; Gordon and Myong Rowan, of Mesa, Ariz.; and Gerald Rowan, of Sumpter; sisters, Anne and Mac Randle, of Caldwell, and Colleen Coriel, of Meridian, Idaho; grandchildren, Danny, Samantha, Jessica and Richard; great-grandchildren, Kyle and H. MaRee; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband Jim Rowan, parents Florence and Millard Beigh and beloved grandson Jay Rowan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Greys West in Baker, Ore. Graveside services follow in Ontario at Evergreen Cemetery at 3 p.m. Immediately following, the family invites all friends and family to join them at Lions Park for a celebration of life party in MaRee’s honor.
