Ontario Booster Club to host benefit Golf Tournament

Ontario

The Ontario High School Booster Club is hosting a benefit golf tournament for boys basketball and football — April 26, at the Ontario Golf Course. The event will be a four person scramble with a shotgun start at 10 am. For more information contact Randy Waite or Scott Helmick at Ontario High School. Green advertisements are $100 and four-somes are $200. There will be lunch provided on the course as well as a clay pigeon shoot, longest drive and closest to the pin contests.  

Treasure Valley Community College four-on-four grass  volleyball tournament slated

Ontario

The Treasure Valley Community College volleyball team is hosting the annual four-on-four grass volleyball tournament May 31 starting with the women’s tournament and June 1 for the co-ed tournament.

The tournament will be held at the college on the soccer field and cost is $40 per team and includes four T-shirts. Deadline to sign up for this actionpacked event is May 9. For more information, call Tammy Gill at the TVCC athletic department, (541) 881-8822 ext. 274.

Golf tournament slated for Scotch Pines

Scotch Pines Golf Course is hosting a two lady bestball tournament Saturday.  The event will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $80 per team. This includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Carts are $24 extra. Call (208) 642-1238 to enter. The entry deadline is Wednesday.

Payette County Recreation Department hosting

The Payette County Department of Recreation will be hosting a Memorial Tournament for Bobbie Ray Davis on May 3 and May 4 for U-10 and U-12 teams.  The entrance fee is $250. The PCRD is in the planning stages of a Bobbie Davis Memorial Scholarship, and the proceeds from this annual tournament as well as the proceeds from the advertising banners hanging in our park will go toward funding this scholarship for a deserving local youth. Ontario Aquatic Center hosting triathlon

The Ontario Aquatic Center announces the first annual Ontario Aquatic Center Triathlon to be held May 9 and 10.  

The triathlon is for those wishing to experience the triathlon experience or for seasoned triathletes wanting a mini triathlon.

The ultra sprint triathlon will be a 250 meter swim May 9, a 6-mile bike ride, and a 1.5 mile run/walk. The other option is the sprint triathlon will be a 500 meter swim, a 12 mile bike ride and a 5K run/walk. The swim portion will begin at 6 p.m., May 9 at the Ontario Aquatic Center and the bike and run will begin at 9 a.m. at the Ontario Golf Club.  Cost for the event is $25 for individuals or $50 for a team.
