Pendleton—The Treasure Valley Community College baseball team improved its league record to 3-3 Wednesday with a sweep of Blue Mountian.
TVCC defeatd the Timberwolves 13-1 in the opening game, then won the nightcap 12-6.
The Chukars pounded out 25 hits in the sweep and collected 18 RBIs.
Chukar Jon Keller had a big day at the plate, with a pair of bombs as he drove in eight runs. One of those home runs was a grand slam, and the other was a three-run job. Both came in the first game.
Colton Douglass swung a hot bat, going 7-for-8 with five RBIs.
Picking up wins on the mound was Keller and Brian Fowler.
“We played well as a team,” TVCC head coach Rick Baumann said. “ We swung the bats, ran the bases and played good defense.”
Keller’s win on the mound was his first since winning seven games last season.
