THE FOLLOWING IS A list of incident logs from area law enforcement offices. The names of people who have been arrested, cited or summoned to appear are also listed. An arrest does not prove guilt or innocence.

Malheur County Sheriff’s Office

TRANSFER E 911: Friday, Jan. 25, reporting party advised she has a flat tire. She is off the road but too close to the edge to change the tire herself. The call was transferred to Oregon State Police (OSP).

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Friday, Jan. 25, reporting party advised of an accident involving a truck on Interstate 84. The call was transferred to OSP.

HIT AND RUN: Friday, Jan. 25, officer dispatched to a report that at an unknown time someone hit a vehicle and caused damage to it.

LIVESTOCK AT LARGE: Friday, Jan. 25, officer dispatched to a report that a bull got away from the veterinarian clinic and is heading toward town. Another officer responded and requested additional units.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Friday, Jan. 25, officer dispatched to a report of a AAA towing request received by River Towing for a vehicle that had rolled 30 to 40 feet off the road. There were no injuries.

TRESPASS: Friday, Jan. 25, caller reports that snowmobilers are trespassing on his property. He has put a berm up on the access road to the canal road, and now they are using his driveway.

OPEN CONTAINER: Friday, Jan. 25, traffic stop leads to a citation for the passenger for an open container.

ANIMAL NEGLECT: Friday, Jan. 25, officer dispatched to a report that an old man has a large herd of goats that he hardly feeds. One has a prolapsed colon hanging out and is bleeding.

WEATHER WARNING: Friday, Jan. 25, National Weather Service reports a winter storm warning is in effect from 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday.

UNWANTED SUBJECT: Friday, Jan. 25, reporting party advised that there are two former tenants in her home, and they will not leave. The female subject is home alone. She is outside and was advised by dispatch to stay in her vehicle with the doors locked until a deputy arrives. She states her vehicle is blocked in by the other vehicle.

DRIVING COMPLAINT: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that she is concerned a male driver was driving a vehicle from the passenger seat. She felt it wasn’t a mail or paper carrier and thought it needed to be checked on.

AGENCY ASSIST: Saturday, Jan. 26, OSP trooper requested assistance in picking up equipment from the outside door of the Vale Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) office. An officer located the items and delivered them to the trooper.

LOST PROPERTY: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that she lost her driver license somewhere in the Vale area.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that a second cow was found dead behind the residence in Harper. This cow was younger than the first, and the caller believed he spooked whatever was eating on the carcass. He reported that they have called Greg Jones, and he was going to go back out to check on it. They will call if they have a cougar that is down in their area.

LOST ANIMAL: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that her dog with an electronic fence collar took off when the power went off. He comes to the name “Buster”. If located, advise the reporting party.

DOG AT LARGE: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that a neighbor allows three dogs to run at large which chase other animals and come over to his property and make a mess. The reporting party has unsuccessfully attempted to contact the owner, and he is also concerned about their horses.

DOG AT LARGE: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised that a large black dog was trying to fight with his dogs in a kennel and that he has an expensive mare that was also upset. The reporting party doesn’t know whom the dog belongs to but wanted information on the county code. He was advised of the Web site with that information.

FOUND ANIMAL: Saturday, Jan. 26, caller reported a black and brown female collie mix running at large in the Nyssa area.

ROAD HAZARD: Saturday, Jan. 26, officer dispatched to a report of a semi traveling westbound from Cairo Junction with a flatbed loaded with hay that appears to be tilting and about ready to fall.

DRIVING COMPLAINT: Saturday, Jan. 26, officer dispatched to a report of a white Cadillac Escalade driving at a high rate of speed heading toward Vale. The vehicle has an Oregon license plate, a male driver and passed the reporting party in a no passing zone.

TRANSFER E 911: Saturday, Jan. 26, Spanish-speaking male called 911 and requested an ambulance for an unknown medical problem. The call was transferred to Ontario Police Department (OPD) for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) dispatch and language assistance.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: Saturday, Jan. 26, OPD requests our units attempt to locate a red Jeep Wrangler that was indicated in a driving complaint in Ontario.

WARRANT: Saturday, Jan. 26, traffic stop found a driver to have an outstanding justice court warrant. The subject was cited to appear in court and released.

ARREST: Saturday, Jan. 26, Jackie Lynn Trotter, 39, Vale, was charged with contempt of court.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: Saturday, Jan. 26, officers advised of a report received from a 911 caller of an intoxicated subject that got into a pickup and drove away from Logan’s Market.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Saturday, Jan. 26, caller reports his mailbox was destroyed a few minute ago, as he just came home, and it was fine then.

TRANSFER E 911: Saturday, Jan. 26, reporting party advised of a hit and run that occurred in Ontario. The call was transferred to OPD.

ROAD SIGN HAZARD: Saturday, Jan. 26, caller reports the stop sign has been knocked down at U.S. Highway 20-26 and Lincoln Drive. ODOT was notified.

WEATHER WARNING: Saturday, Jan. 26, National Weather Service advises a snow advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

CHEST PAIN: Saturday, Jan. 26, Vale ambulance was dispatched to a report of chest pain in a subject that has had three heart attacks in the last month.

DISABLED VEHICLE: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised there is a red pickup with no headlights on the shoulder of the road on Lytle Boulevard near Vale. There were several people around the vehicle.

TRANSFER E 911: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised that his nephew has done something to his residence. There was somewhat of a language barrier. The call was transferred to OPD.

ALTERED MENTAL STATUS: Sunday, Jan. 27, officer dispatched to a report of suspicious subjects at a property.

ROAD HAZARD: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised of a semi that is stopped in the middle of the lane of travel. He is nearly halfway up the hill. OSP and ODOT were advised. ODOT was able to get vehicles moving.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised that there has been a three-car motor vehicle collision. An officer and a medical unit were dispatched as there are possible injuries.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised that he received a call from AAA about a minivan 20 feet off the road near Bully Creek Road.

THEFT: Sunday, Jan. 27, reporting party advised that while they were gone someone entered their residence and took some coins from a jar. The reporting party states he may know who did it. The house was unlocked when this occurred.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Sunday, Jan. 27, caller reports damage to her mailbox.

SEIZURE: Sunday, Jan. 27, Vale ambulance dispatched to a report of a 15-year-old female having a seizure.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Monday, Jan. 28, OSP Trooper Duncan advised they received a call from ODOT that there was a semi disabled in the road. Dispatch contacted Rome to see if they had been notified. They had not and will check on it as it is near their location.

PUBLIC ASSIST: Monday, Jan. 28, officer advised he would be on a public assist.

THEFT: Monday, Jan. 28, reporting party advised his shop at work had been broken into sometime this weekend. They busted the shop door open and took phone cable.

CIVIL COMPLAINT: Monday, Jan. 28, reporting party requested to speak with a deputy regarding a civil issue.

LOST PROPERTY: Monday, Jan. 28, caller reports a lost brown wallet with “Justin” on the outside that contains credit cards, driver license and Social Security card.

TRESPASS: Monday, Jan. 28, officer dispatched to a report of trespassing.

911 HANG UP: Monday, Jan. 28, 911 call received; dispatch could hear children. Upon call back, the mother advised the children did have the phone and that everything was okay.

AGENCY ASSIST: Monday, Jan. 28, officer dispatched to make contact with the registered owner of Oregon license plate #VWA290. About 10 days ago, this vehicle lost items from the back of the truck, which caused damage to another vehicle. The reporting party would like a deputy to make contact.

FRAUD: Monday, Jan. 28, reporting party advised another person has used his driver license in an accident on Nov. 16. The reporting party would like to speak to a deputy regarding this. The other person called the reporting party and told him his name was Cesal Treveno. There is no other information on the suspect.

LICENSE APPLICATION: Monday, Jan. 28, Smit applied for a concealed handgun license; issuance is pending background check.

GAS DRIVE OFF: Monday, Jan. 28, officer dispatched to the location of a gas drive off that occurred yesterday.

TRANSFER E 911: Monday, Jan. 28, 911 caller advised of a man on the bridge who goes from Ontario to Idaho is walking uneasily and is concerned for his safety. The reporting party advised the man is now on the Idaho side. The call was transferred to Payette dispatch.

SHOTS FIRED: Monday, Jan. 28, reporting party advised that while conducting radar patrol in Nyssa she heard a single shot from a firearm. The reporting party advised she saw a man with a rifle in the back of the residence located in Nyssa.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Monday, Jan. 28, received a report of a non-injury slide off near Adrian.
