THE FOLLOWING IS A list of incident logs from area law enforcement offices. The names of people who have been arrested, cited or summoned to appear are also listed. An arrest does not prove guilt or innocence.

Ontario Police Department

LARCENY: Sunday, Jan. 6, theft from a vehicle was reported, as well as use of the credit cards taken.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer dispatched to assist a family member mediate a situation with a juvenile.

INFORMATION REPORT: Sunday, Jan. 6, information documented for a complainant.

WARRANT: Sunday, Jan. 6, Cesar Juarez Solis, 20, was contacted during a traffic stop, cited on five justice court warrants and released.

VEHICLE IMPOUND: Sunday, Jan. 6, Cesar Juarez Solis, 20, was cited for operating a vehicle without a front license plate and with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded.

DISTURBANCE: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer advised a tenant about a noise complaint.

LARCENY: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer took a theft complaint.

UNLICENSED DOG: Sunday, Jan. 6, officers dispatched to locate a dog that bit a 10-year-old. John Parraz, 42, was cited for not having his dog licensed and for a vicious dog.

VANDALISM: Sunday, Jan. 6, complainant reports that damage was done to the passenger door of his vehicle but has no suspects.

FOUND DOG: Sunday, Jan. 6, citizen found a dog and will keep it until the owner can be found.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE: Sunday, Jan. 6, officers responded to a verbal domestic situation. Officers mediated the situation. No action was taken.

LARCENY: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer investigated a theft from a vehicle complaint. A credit card was taken and used in Idaho.

RUNAWAY: Sunday, Jan. 6, 14-year-old male left his residence without parents’ permission and was signed as a runaway.

JUVENILE PROBLEM: Sunday, Jan. 6, caller reports juveniles with fireworks. An officer located juveniles who were on a scavenger hunt.

WARRANT: Sunday, Jan. 6, Sharon Lynn Anderson, 34, was arrested on a statewide felony warrant for a probation violation on the original charge of criminal mistreatment.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: Sunday, Jan. 6, caller reports that a vehicle had a yellow flashing light and was flashing headlights at passing vehicles. The operator was contacted and cited.

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY:  Sunday, Jan. 6, sergeant assisted Malheur County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Oregon State Police (OSP) with a report of a burglary in progress. The suspect broke a window to gain access.

SEX CRIME: Sunday, Jan. 6, report initiated for a sex offender having moved without reporting the address change as required.

FRAUD: Sunday, Jan. 6, information received regarding check fraud that is occurring in the Ontario area.

WELFARE CHECK: Sunday, Jan. 6, officers dispatched at MCSO’s request after several 911 calls were received. The individual responsible had left prior to the officers’ arrival but was advised by friends.

WELFARE CHECK: Monday, Jan. 7, officer dispatched to check on a stranded motorist.

WARRANT: Monday, Jan. 7, Kurtis Bruffett, 18, turned himself in on a misdemeanor warrant.

HIT AND RUN: Monday, Jan. 7, caller reports a neighbor ran into the hitch on her trailer and then left. An officer determined there was no damage.

HIT AND RUN: Monday, Jan. 7, officer witnessed an accident. The responsible driver failed to perform duties and fled the scene.

GRAFFITI: Monday, Jan. 7, Linda reports graffiti on the school.

GRAFFITI: Monday, Jan. 7, officer investigated graffiti complaint.

GRAFFITI: Monday, Jan. 7, victim completed a report of criminal mischief damage done to her vehicle.

Malheur County Sheriff’s Office

ARREST: Saturday, Jan. 5, Diana Carroll Workman, 32, Ontario, was charged with contempt of court.

THEFT: Saturday, Jan. 5, officer dispatched to a report of a theft of Christmas decorations that occurred last night.

TELEPHONIC HARASSMENT: Saturday, Jan. 5, reporting party advised she was receiving calls from a subject that wanted Medicare and Social Security information. She did not give the information but wanted to report it.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Saturday, Jan. 5, officer dispatched to a report of a dog being attacked and evidence of a burglary from a shed.

ALTERED MENTAL STATUS: Saturday, Jan. 5, jail sergeant requested that we take control of a mental patient at Holy Rosary Medical Center (HRMC) that was transferred there last night and put on suicide watch by MCSO deputies.

AGENCY ASSIST: Saturday, Jan. 5, officers assisted OSP.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTOXICANTS (DUII): Sunday, Jan. 6, officer initiated a traffic stop which resulted in the impound of the vehicle and an arrest for DUII.

ARREST: Sunday, Jan. 6, Larry Wayne Burley, 43, Adrian, was charged with DUII.

CURFEW VIOLATION: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer initiated a traffic stop which resulted in curfew violations for two juvenile females.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Sunday, Jan. 6, received a call reporting a slide-off near Jordan Valley and a request to advise Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).

ROAD HAZARD: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised that the road between the city limits and Columbia Ave. on Highway 201 is very slick. ODOT was advised.

WEATHER WARNING: Sunday, Jan. 6, the next storm will approach the area early Tuesday, with the potential for abundant moisture in the form of heavy snow.

ANIMAL NEGLECT: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised there is a dog that needs to be checked on.

UNATTENDED DEATH: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised that they need a deputy at the above location as a subject has passed away.

HIT AND RUN: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised that a gray Dodge pickup backed into a sign and then took off. It is believed that they are heading to Owyhee Canyon.

ROAD HAZARD: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised of a red truck with a company name that is parked on the white fog line on Highway 20-26.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY: Sunday, Jan. 6, received a call reporting a suspicious circumstance.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party advised that it sounds like their neighbors are building or pounding on something between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. The noise has awaken and scared the reporting party’s young child.

DISABLED VEHICLE: Sunday, Jan. 6, officer dispatched to a report of a white pickup off the side of the road with no lights. There were two young people there, but it is unknown what the problem is.

INFORMATION ONLY: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party requested to speak with a deputy regarding a subject living at the residence who is drinking when she is not supposed to be. There is no alcohol at the residence; it is unknown how she got it.

THEFT: Sunday, Jan. 6, officers dispatched to a report of a subject breaking a window at a residence and stealing items that belonged to the reporting party’s deceased mother.

911 HANG UP: Sunday, Jan. 6, Hispanic male called four times and kept advising he was trying to call his girlfriend, not 911. He gave an invalid telephone number, two different names and two different addresses, one of each did not exist. Dispatch finally spoke to a female who gave the correct address. The information was given to OPD to respond.

UNWANTED SUBJECT: Sunday, Jan. 6, reporting party came in to the lobby and advised he found a male subject with his dog staying in a room that is attached to his house but has an outside entrance for his washer and dryer. Reporting party advised it is a male subject in his 50s, Lonnie, that is a friend of his father. The reporting party was unable to reach his father. An officer was dispatched to the residence.

ROAD HAZARD: Monday, Jan. 7, officers advised road conditions were very slippery with the snow falling. ODOT was advised.

UNKNOWN SITUATION: Monday, Jan. 7, received a 911 hang-up call. Dispatch called the number back, and a female advised that someone was knocking on her outside bedroom wall. When she knocked back, someone would knock back to her. She lives there alone with her 8-year-old son. Officers were dispatched to the residence, and dispatch stayed on the phone with the female until they arrived.

LIVESTOCK AT LARGE: Monday, Jan. 7, officer advised of a calf at large that he was able to get into a pen by the driveway. Dispatch advised the owner.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT: Monday, Jan. 7, 911 caller advised that a vehicle slid off the road into a fence on Commercial St. in Weiser. The call kept breaking up. The information was given to Washington County.
