Marsing - Senior Jaimie Brown caught fire Saturday, as he led New Plymouth to victory over the Marsing Huskies 64-51 Saturday in Western Idaho Conference play.
Brown led the team in scoring with 23 points, set a school record with 30 rebounds and dished out five assists.
But Brown was not alone in the scoring column, Wes Hooten added 20 points and led the team with four steals.
The Pilgrims jumped out to a 16-6 lead in the first quarter then added 18 more points in the second to enjoy a 17 point cushion at the break.
The Pilgrims added 30 second half points, 22 of which came in the fourth quarter.
Despite being whistled for 23 fouls, Marsing could not take advantage at the charity stripe, shooting 15-of-39.
New Plymouth head coach Tyler Gaston said the play of Brown and Hooten made the difference in the game.
Other scorers in the game for New Plymouth were Carson Knapp with nine points, Nolan Kerby tickled the twine for eight and both Tyler Forsberg and Dean Jones added two points.

Parma - The Panther boys basketball team got back to .500 (3-3 WIC, 5-11 overall) in Western Idaho Conference play Saturday with a 14 point win over the visiting Cole Valley Chargers, 47-33.
Parma jumped out to an early 12-7 lead in the opening quarter, and never looked back.
Nick Prescott stepped up his game and led the Panthers in scoring and rebounding with 10 points and six boards.
Parma outscored Cole Valley in every quarter but the last, where the Chargers put up 15 points to keep the score somewhat respectable.
Panther head coach Nate Tessmer said his team played relaxed and shot the ball well against the Chargers. Parma was outrebounded 26-23, but forced the Chargers into 19 turnovers.
Parma will be in action again Marsing for a rare Wednesday affair at 7:30 p.m.
