Pipe break floods school basement
ONTARIO
Ontario Middle School buildings were without water Thursday morning after a water line to the OMS Odyssey building broke and flooded the basement at about 4 a.m.
According to a press release from the Ontario School District, Ontario city staff shut off water at about 5:30 a.m. and notified school district officials.
The release said Idaho Power disconnected power to the Odyssey building and water was turned off going to the Odyssey, Challenger and Tiger Gym buildings.
Water was restored to the buildings on the north side of campus. At 9 a.m. water was still turned off to the three buildings, but city staff have already started repairs necessary to return water in those buildings.
