The Wolverines outscored the Tigers in every quarter of the game, and allowed only six in the fourth quarter.
Weiser’s Grayson Duren led the boys in red with 16 points, and teammate Willie Overgaard hit seven buckets for 14 points.
Gavin Eisenbarth had a good night from the charity stripe making 5-of-6 plus a pair of baskets for nine points on the night.
“Ontario played really hard, and it was good for us to see that kind of pressure on our kids,” Weiser coach Dave Shirts said.
Ontario’s Josh Mejia led the Tigers with 11 total. Tiger Bryson Bottorff finished with eight points.
“We executed well against their defense, and we passed the ball well,” Shirts said. “It was a good team effort.”
Weiser, now 7-0, starts the season back up in the new year at New Plymouth on Jan. 3.

PINE EAGLE
The Adrian boys basketball team lost to Pine Eagle Friday, 67-54. Adrian has succumbed to a four-game losing streak, dropping to 7-4 overall for the season.
“We didn’t win. We had a tough game,” Adrian coach Brent Ishida said. “We started out on fire this year but we need to take the break and come back and regroup.”
Adrian won its first seven games this year but has fallen into a rut.
“We didn’t come out in the first half with any intensity and we had a tough time getting back in the game. We tied it up in the fourth at one point but we let it go again,” Ishida said
Adrian’s Kyle Dondero scored 18 points and Hope Maurus had 14.
From Pine Eagle, Michael Marlow led with 28 points followed by Hazen Marks’ 20 and Jesse Smith’s 16.
