Tonight’s TVCC basketball games to be Webcast

IdahoSportsZone.com will be Webcasting both the men’s and women’s games tomorrow night at Treasure Valley Community College. The women’s game has been moved up to 4 p.m. as they take on Salt Lake City Community College, while the men take on College of Southern Idaho at 8 p.m. at John J. Easly Gymansium in Ontario. The web cast is free to watch and is available online, anywhere in the world, by simply going to IdahoSportsZone.com. There will be a link on the homepage to watch the game.

 

Ontario Parks and Recreation and Ontario Aquatic Center holding swim lesson registrations

The Ontario Parks and Recreation Department and the Ontario Aquatic Center are taking registration for winter and spring Swim Lessons.  The next session will be Jan. 14 through Jan.31.  Classes will be held on Jan. 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30, 31.  Times offered are 4, 4:30, 6,or 6:30 p.m.  Lessons are available for ages three and above.  A Parent/Tot class will be held at 6 p.m. on the same dates.  Pre-registration is required by Jan. 9.  Cost for this session is $27 for a non-member's first child and $25 for any additional children in the same family.  Aquatic Center members will pay $18 for the first child and $13 for any additional children in the same family.  For further information or to pre-register please call the Ontario Aquatic Center at 541-889-7946.

Treasure Valley Community College Basketball Camp planned

Treasure Valley Community College is hosting a boys and girls fundamentals basketball camp Dec. 17 through Dec. 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the TVCC gym.  The cost of the camp is $40 per person for early registration and $50 at the time of the camp.  Campers will receive one hour of teaching as well as game time on the court. Ontario Parks and Recreation accepting registration for Jr. NBA basketball

Ontario

The Ontario Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting registration for our Jr. NBA Youth Basketball program. The JR. NBA is for boys and girls in grades first through seventh.  Registration will be open until Dec. 19.  League games will begin in Jan. 2008.  Cost for this program is $42 without team jersey and $30 if you have your jersey from last season. Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet rescheduled

The Snake River Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has rescheduled its banquet for Feb. 9, 2008. Committees are now being formed to work with the chapter.  Those who are interested in participating on the committee may contact Lorna at (208) 642-3588 or Gary at (541) 889-9088.
