Weiser Mud Bog clean dirty fun

| During the fourth annual Weiser Mud Bog, plenty of competitiors got the chance to strut their stuff as they battled in a number of classes for the top prize. |
Weiser — The fourth annual Mud Bog in Weiser provided everything a mud racing fan could imagine: Dirt, water, gasoline and a cascade of frenzied fans.
Many roadsters took to the muddy terrain Saturday doing battle in eight different classes, including the powder puff and monster truck divisions.
Roy Freeman earned top honors and a check for $240 in the Pro Stock class, and Gary Gammel notched second-place.
In the Powder Puff race, Joanne Freeman won first place, while Nampa’s Kristy Cornia wound up in second-place.
Nampa’s Dan Palmer earned top billing in the Super Stock classification, finishing just in front of Weiser resident Josh Frazier.
In the stock class, Chad Franklin earned himself $90 for his top finish and Quintin Land was just eeked out as he finished in second place.
Monster Truck driver Mike Rodriguez, Boise walked away with a $30 check and top honors, while Tyler Graham finished second and Frazier earned third place honors.
Middleton’s Darrel Poulter chalked up a win in the Mud Modified division, while Parma’s Glen Carsten earned second place honors. Payette’s Kevin Mayo also enjoyed a solid weekend with a $24 check and a first-place finish in the Pro Truck class, while Parma’s Carsten finished first in the Pro Mud division.
