Main question is how deep to cut U.S. troops in Iraq, not when to begin

WASHINGTON (AP) — New calls from lawmakers to begin withdrawing U.S. forces from Iraq may trouble the White House but are not too out of step with scenarios envisioned by war commanders.

The disagreement mainly is about how deeply to cut, not when to begin. See story Page A14.

Naked man arrested in Dallas court building after allegedly trying to nab weapon

DALLAS (AP) — A man stripped naked inside a Dallas County courthouse and tried to grab a weapon from an officer who attempted to subdue him, officials said.

She called for help, and a prosecutor chased the man into a stairwell.

An officer was trying to help the prosecutor when the man placed his hand on the officer’s weapon, officials said.

The man faces a charge of trying to take a weapon from a peace officer.
