Karen Hollis earns national realtor certification



Karen Hollis has completed the real estate industry’s most comprehensive new home sales course to earn her national certification as a Certified New Home Specialistª and Residential Construction Specialist.

“This course is recognized as one of the very best ever offered in real estate,” Hollis said. “The training covered architectural design and planning, blueprint reading, topography, building site design, evaluating quality construction, materials, methods, construction terminology and scheduling. We also studied successful buyer/builder relations, all aspects of customer service and the use of various organizational tools and systems. I’ll be able to do a much better job of assisting anyone interested in a brand new or existing home.”

Completion of the Certified New Home Specialistª and the Residential Construction Certifiedª training involves a total of over 30 hours of interactive computer-based course work and a 90% or better score on the certification test. The course was created by Dennis Walsh, CNHS, CSP, who is recognized internationally as a leading authority in all aspects of new home sales and marketing.

“With my 17 years in the construction Industry, I have felt that very few Real Estate Companies understand the needs of builders and developers and how those needs differ when marketing New Homes. I’m excited to have one of our associates earn this certification,” Williams said. “Knowledge is power, and I believe this training really sets our people apart when it comes to helping builders market new homes and home buyers make their best decisions.” Williams also added that “Several other agents in his organization are in the process of studying the Course materials and achieving this Certification.”

Hollis, an associate broker, has been active in real estate sales for 31 years and works in the Payette, Weiser, Fruitland and Ontario communities. She has been a Payette-Washington County Board of Realtors President, an Idaho Association of Realtor President, the State of Idaho Realtor of the Year in 1982 and is recognized as a Multi-Million Dollar leading sales producer.

Coldwell Banker Classic Properties has had an office in Payette since 1978 and in Weiser since 2005. The business is owned and operated by Jeff and Linda Williams. At the present time there are 23 Real Estate Agents, many of them licensed in Idaho and Oregon.
