LAKE OSWEGO - A bus transporting Nyssa High School students from a state band competition Thursday afternoon was involved in a minor vehicle collision near Lake Oswego, Nyssa School District Superintendent Don Grotting said.
No students were injured in the incident that occurred around 2:30 p.m., Grotting said.
“Our bus rear-ended a car. There were no injuries to any students,” Grotting said.
The collision occurred in stop-and-start traffic, at a low speed, Grotting said, and the bus continued on its journey back to Nyssa after the incident.
Grotting called the media within hours of the collision, and he said parents were also notified by the school.
Paramedics assessed the situation, and Grotting said Thursday he did not know yet if any traffic citations were issued.
The bus driver has a strong record of performance, Grotting said.
