Idaho gas station owner says biodiesel a popular product
LEWISTON (AP) — A northern Idaho gas station owner who added biodiesel said people are coming from a wide area to buy the product.
‘‘When it first started I had people show up from Pomeroy, Coeur d’Alene, McCall — all those places,’’ said Don Nuxoll, who owns the Shell service station at Cottonwood. ‘‘We’ve had people drive what I thought wasn’t (a) cost effective (distance) to drive for diesel. One farmer from Nezperce bought 4,000 gallons of it the first day.’’

TWIN FALLS (AP) — A citizens committee and the Gooding County planning and zoning board in southern Idaho have finished a draft ordinance on dairy operations that could be used as a template for nearby counties with large and expanding dairy operations.
But dairy operators say the restrictions in the draft ordinance could kill the industry.

Oregon humanitarian agency becoming more ’international’
TIGARD (AP) — Northwest Medical Teams, the nonprofit humanitarian agency, is changing its name after 27 years, exchanging ‘‘Northwest’’ for ‘‘International.’’
The organization’s name is changing to Medical Teams International to become more accessible to volunteers from regions other the United States, said Bas Vanderzalm, the agency’s president.
