Payette Police Department Chief Mark Clark said Xpress Cash, situated at 385 S. 16th St., was burglarized Monday night around 9:24 p.m.
Nothing was reported missing from the store, Clark said, however some areas of the business had been ransacked.
The business was broken into through a front glass door, which was shattered, Clark said.
Police were dispatched to the scene within minutes of an alarm sounding from the business, Clark said.
Police have no suspects in the case, he said.
A similar unsolved burglary occurred next door at the Movie Gallery a few months ago, Clark said, and it is possible the two cases may be connected.
Nothing was reported stolen from the Movie Gallery burglary case, Clark said, but the business was rummaged through quickly.
Police say the business was not burglarized for more than than a couple minutes.
Area searches were conducted around the area of Xpress Cash Monday night after the incident, Clark said. Evidence taken from the scene is being processed by police, Clark said. Anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area of Xpress Cash - near TIPS Restaurant, Burger King or the Movie Gallery - is encouraged to call the Payette Police Department at (208) 642-6026.
