PAYETTE
A Payette High School student found a letter written on the school's bathroom wall Monday morning that indicated an explosive device was located in a classroom and would detonate at a designated time.
Nothing suspicious was found, though, after Payette police evacuated students from the school and swept it for explosives between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., Payette Police Department Det. Dave Freeman said.
Students were kept outside the building until the time extended beyond the hour indicated on the threatening note, Freeman said.
Students were then directed back to their classrooms and the day resumed as scheduled; however, students were given the option to go home early, Freeman said.

Pileggi said it appeared that Hatfield attempted to turn left from the west shoulder of the intersection to traverse the entire roadway in a U-turn.
One vehicle spun across the northbound lane after it struck Hatfield's vehicle, and then struck another vehicle head on, Pileggi said.
The other two drivers involved in the collision were not cited, Pileggi said.

No property from either business was reported missing, Kee said Monday.
However, property was damaged, file cabinets and drawers were sifted through, and personal items had been moved around, Kee said.
Police located a partial footprint, but there are no suspects in the case, Kee said Monday. Anyone with information on the incident(s) is encouraged to contact Ontario police at (541) 889-5312, Kee said.
